Magics, anyone who uses a magic needs to create their magic. This does nothing more than determine their strengths and weaknesses. Magic doesn’t follow the ranking system. Rather, a magic’s power is determined by the spells it has and how proficient the user is in using it. Creating your magic follows a simple template.

Name: (what do you call your magic)
Description: (What is the background to your magic, what does it do, what is it’s purpose. Explain this in at least 50 words)
Strengths: (How is your magic strong, write that here in at least 25 words. If your strengths are too strong you will be asked to revise.)
Weaknesses: (How is your magic weak, write that here in at least 25 words. If your weaknesses are essentially nonexistent or make you too strong, you will be asked to revise.)

Now for spells, they follow a 5 rank system similar to the rest of the site, but using spells costs mana, the innate force stored in nature that is used to control magic. There are two general types of spells. Offensive, Defensive, and utility. Offensive and Defensive spells are self explanatory, but utility spells are somewhat different, they neither deal or negate damage. Utility spells are things like buffs. To keep them in effect, the user must pay half of it’s magic cost to keep them in effect. Area of effect or AoE is the limit of how big a spell can be before it’s effects are ranked down.

Rank 0: This rank is unique to dedicated magic users. Rank 0 is a spell that the user has memorized by heart. Spells of this rank are equivalent to spells two ranks below your strongest spell, but don’t cost mana or have a cooldown. The drawback is that these spells cannot be sustained.

Rank 1: Rank 1’s cost 10 mana and sustain costs 5 mana, Offensive spells deal 10 damage, have a range of 10 meters, and travel at 5 m/s. Defensive spells negate up to 20 damage. And utility boosts stats by 10%. Cannot use AoE spells, maximum size is 2 meters in any dimension. Cooldown is 1 post

Rank 2: Costs 20 mana, sustain costs 10. Offensive spells deal 20 damage, have a range of 40 meters, and travel at 10 m/s. Defensive spells negate up to 30 damage. And utility boosts stats by 20%. AoE is anything that exceeds 2 meters in size. Maximum size is 20 meters. Cooldown is 1 post

Rank 3: Costs 30 mana, sustain costs 15. Offensive spells deal 30 damage, have a range of 60 meters, and travel at 15 m/s. Defensive spells negate up to 40 damage. And utility boosts stats by 30%. AoE is anything that exceeds 3 meters in size. Maximum size is 30 meters. Cooldown is 2 posts.

Rank 4: Costs 40 mana, sustain costs 20. Offensive spells deal 20 damage, have a range of 80 meters, and travel at 20 m/s. Defensive spells negate up to 50 damage. And utility boosts stats by 40%. AoE is anything that exceeds 4 meters in size. Maximum size is 40 meters. Cooldown is 2 posts.

Rank 5: Costs 50 mana, sustain costs 25. Offensive spells deal 50 damage, have a range of 100 meters, and travel at 25 m/s. Defensive spells negate up to 30 damage. And utility boosts stats by 50%. AoE is anything that exceeds 5 meters in size. Maximum size is 50 meters. Cooldown is 3 posts.




The creation of spells utilizes the following template:

Name: (what is the name of your spell)
Rank: (Rank of your spell)
Cost: (How much does your spell cost)
Description: (What does your spell look like and do)
Cooldown: (How many posts is until you can use the spell again)
